Open Book to be Held for the Town of Chetek

Pursuant to §70.45 of Wisconsin Statutes, Assessor Ron Meyer will hold Open Book on Thurs., June 1, 2023 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Chetek Town Hall located at 213 Knapp St. in the City of Chetek. At that time, the assessment roll for the year 2023 will be open for examination. Instructional material about the assessment and Board of Review procedures under Wisconsin law and information on how to file an objection at the Board of Review will be available. The assessor is present at Open Book to answer questions about assessments. No appointment is necessary to attend. You may call the assessor at 715-232-9068 for questions about your assessment.

            If you received a notice of change of assessment and you have questions about it, this is the time to check it out. Likewise, if you believe your assessment is not correct, either call the assessor or come to Open Book.

            Board of Review will be held on Thurs., June 8, 2023 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Chetek Town Hall. Appointments are necessary in order to be heard at Board of Review. Call the town clerk for appointments.

            The assessment roll and related material will be available for viewing, by appointment, at the Clerk's office during the week prior to Open Book. Call the clerk at 715-642-2182 for more information.
